After renewing the Preventive and Remedial Industrial Maintenance contract with Lidl for their facilities in south Tenerife, at INGENUT, Engineering Company in Tenerife and the Canaries, we have started working to offer our client the best solutions in the field of industrial automation and industrial installations. To be transparent and to show our commitment to our obligations, here are the tasks carried out to this day for one of the most important international supermarket chains.

Tasks done for Lidl Supermercados S.A.U.

The first task in the area of industrial installations was to solve the cold leakage that our client sustained in its installations, as a result of the lack of area definition. INGENUT decided to solve the problem by providing and installing flexible PVC laminate curtains in the refrigeration chamber. This controlled the loss of cold by closing the space, which translated into economic savings and environment care. Goal achieved!

Another task carried out for our client Lidl Supermercados S.A.U. was in the area of industrial automation, and it included the supply and installation of two automatic barriers that can be opened from the security booth to limit access of non-authorised vehicles to their facilities. Providing this industrial automation solution, we helped limit the access of non-authorised vehicles to the company’s private area. A need, a solution!

INGENUT cares about the continuous improvement of the processes and the facilities of its clients. An additional task done for the food industry giant was related to that topic. Due to our client’s high work volume and, as a consequence of the impacts from forklifts, the freezing chamber access door was damaged. This allowed the leakage of cold from the chamber. Our client, Lidl Supermercados S.A.U., in its profound commitment to quality and excellence, commissioned INGENUT to supply and install a quick side-opening door for the freezing chamber, to replace the old one. This helped solve the cold leakage problem.

One more request for INGENUT by our client was related to the expansion of the space in its facilities. Due to the growth of the company in the islands, Lidl Supermercados S.A.U. needed to expand the employee parking lot in the facilities in Güimar. For this, at INGENUT, Industrial Engineering Company in Tenerife and the Canaries, we brought out our drawing kit to calculate the best solution. The result was the creation of an area, perpendicular to the facility’s parking lot, that had been underused until then. Once the construction of the parking lot expansion finished, there were 19 new parking spaces. Problem solution: expansion of the area. Goal achieved!

Regarding industrial installations, one of the latest requests from Lidl was to increase the storage space in the pre-chamber and free up space in the waste area. To do so, INGENUT moved the forklift chargers to a new location. This action intended to take advantage of the existing structures, optimising the space. Additionally, we provided several new modules and expanded the control switchboard. After the move and expansion, the storage space was increased in two areas that needed it. Moreover, the chargers and forklifts were located in a more optimal location and were better integrated. A need, a solution!
