INGENUT and Safety. Industrial Installations for Cía. Cervecera de Canarias S.A.
Safety is a key concept for any industry. At INGENUT, Industrial Engineering Company in Tenerife and the Canaries, we work to offer our clients the best safety solutions thanks to our industrial installations in Tenerife and the Canary Islands. This helps in the optimal development of their processes, as well in their adaptation to current legislation.
In this sense, our client Cía. Cervecera de Canarias S.A., with its continuous interest to improve the safety of its processes and installations, needed to adapt its installations to comply with current regulations in R. D. 1215/1997. Cía Cervecera de Canarias S.A., part of the SABMiller group, is one of the biggest national beer producers, with more than 7,000 direct and indirect job positions, and one of the main economic and social development engines in the Canary Islands. This need arose after an evaluation report and a study on work group safety conditions done by an expert consultancy firm in the company’s plant in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
The areas that needed adapting to safety regulations were:
- Returnable bottles packaging line
- Non-returnable bottles packaging line
- Barrel packaging line
Once the needs of our client were identified, INGENUT started working to install the industrial safety elements. To do so, we had the continuous support of AQD Industrial Safety S.L., a global services expert company oriented to safety and industrial compliance with whom we have a cooperation agreement in the Canary Islands.
Lastly, INGENUT drafted an economic study of the consultant’s report, and provided solutions using standardised and CE certified materials that were subsequently presented to the client. Goal: The improvement and compliance of the safety measures in the installations of our client, Cía. Cervecera de Canarias S.A.
INGENUT supplied and installed the following components:
- Standardised guards in accordance to ISO 12100-2, EN ISO 13857, EN 953 and EN 1421.
- Optoelectronic barriers with MUTING system.
- Interlocks and their appropriate triggers for doors to enclosed areas.
- Transparent polycarbonate protections, guards, fenders, signage, etc.
After INGENUT‘s work and industrial installations, our client’s facilities had been improved to be correctly certified. A need, a solution!
